Cornish Mars

Cornwall's very own Mars inspires this project. The old mine bleeds red into the ground, and standing there, I could almost believe that the sky had come down to meet it. I wanted to carry this feeling into the work: earth turned strange, a familiar place made faraway, like somewhere the stars once touched and left their colour behind.
